Parenting Your Parent: The Struggle Nobody Warned Us About
Nobody warns you about the chapter of life where the roles flip—when your parent becomes the one who needs you. In this episode, I share my own story of navigating life as an adult child caring for my dad: the late-night hospital calls, the constant “clean up crew” work of canceling scams and subscriptions he never needed, and the emotional rollercoaster of balancing his independence with his safety.
It’s raw, messy, and sometimes even a little funny—because if you don’t laugh about being on hold with customer service for the fifth time this week, you’ll cry. If you’ve ever felt the weight of parenting your parent, this episode will remind you that you’re not alone, you’re not failing, and it’s okay to admit that this is one of the hardest parts of adulthood.
